Vehicle Description 1965 Corvette Roadster W/AC 1965 Corvette Roadster W/AC You are viewing a very nice Roadster with AC, not NCRS judged but very correct.
Owned for 14 years and primarily completed in 2008 after a 3 year restoration.
Under 5K miles driven since the restoration was completed.
The car is a very early production car.
The car is believed to be an early L79 and restored as such even though the tach is original to the car and doesn't reflect the higher red line associated with an L79.
The early L79s in 65 used lower redline tachometers because the higher redline tachometers weren't available in early production cars.
This is a known fact around NCRS circles.

Body/Paint:
The body is in very nice condition and no hit.
Never has it been in an accident and shows as such from all angles.
The original color was Ermine white.
The car was painted in Rally Red two stage base/clear.
The paint shows super nice with one small paint chip.
Top:
The top is vinyl and was done a number of years ago, but is very presentable with clear rear window.
The car also comes with a hard top in good condition.
Interior:
The interior was original red vinyl and restored with upgraded leather and show very well.
Rare AC with all the correct components, Power brakes, restored digital clock that works, leather seat covers, new carpet, entire gauge panel was professionally restored.
Original radio works with new speaker, power antenna in working order.
Both humps were replaced using Al Knock interior products throughout the interior.
Original steering wheel in very good condition with no cracks.
Running Gear:
The L79 327/350 horse engine is an original 327 correct Corvette block date matched to the car with a restamp so the engine is not original to the car, but is restored as a correct L79 using an NOS L79 cam out of a GM box.
The entire engine was rebuilt using correct L79 specs and correct date coded original parts, heads, alternator and carb.
Correct original fan and fan clutch for AC car.
Correct AC components with deep groove hi horse pulleys including the correct oil pan with windage tray.
Restored M21 non matching Muncie close ratio 4 speed with upgraded Hurst shifter using original stock shift handle.
Rearend is rebuild with 355 gears/posi.
New DeWitts aluminum radiator as well as a new correct dated coded expansion tank.
Suspension:
Restored as stock.
The frame is in excellent condition with no rust anywhere.
Front suspension and rear suspension is completely restored including the trailer arms.
Overall in excellent condition.
Handles well and drives like it should.
Bright work:
Restored and very presentable with correct restored grill.
Original bumpers restored and rechromed.
Glass:
Windshield is replaced and is tinted with original side glass in great condition.
Exhaust:
Correct off road exhaust as original with correct heatshields and detail.
Brakes:
Restored stock power disc brakes all the way around and restored stock master cylinder.
Wheels/Tires:
5 stock restored factory Kelsey Hayes 15X5.
5 Corvette only steel wheels powered coated black.
Original hubcaps restored and polished and look like new Coker Classic redline tires 205/75 15s.
Reproduction true knock offs wheels in great restored condition with Gold line Michelin tires.
Full size spare is in the tub with no jack, handle or wrench.
Buyer has the choice of Wheel tire combo.
