Vehicle Description 1965 Corvette Coupe You are viewing a very nice NCRS judged Top Flight award winner.
Judged in Bend, OR in 1995 with a score of 96.
8 points earning a Top Flight award.
Owned since 1976.
2nd owner.
Runs and drives like it should and in overall a super nice as original Corvette with matching drive train and 86K original miles.
The original Maroon/Maroon color combo is a rare find for a 65 coupe.
The car is a great example of a stock 65 in excellent condition.
Everything operates as it should with the exception of the original clock in nonworking order.
Always stored indoors and well cared for and driven/maintained annually with approximately 2K miles driven since judged.
Judging sheets with ribbon in hand and go with the car.
The car was restored over a 5 year period between 90 and 95.
It looks like it was done just 5 years ago due to proper storage and care.

Body/Paint:
The body is in very nice condition.
Some repair done during body and paint restoration.
Gaps and lines are exceptional.
Multiple coats of primer with blocking between coats.
Original color M-M (Milano Maroon) two stage base/clear with light metallic.
Multiple coats of paint and clear with final wet sanding and polish.
Shows well and is beautiful with the correct color code.
Interior:
The interior is primarily original in 435-A (Maroon) vinyl with exception of the carpet being replaced.
Overall the interior is in very nice original condition.
Original unrestored seat belts that work properly with label and date code.
Original teak steering wheel in excellent near perfect unrestored condition with telescopic steering column, electric antenna replaced with NOS motor.
Running Gear:
Original number matching L79 350 horse engine.
Restored to original specs and balanced.
Original correct carb, voltage regulator, alternator, distributor, intake and camel hump heads.
Correct replacement Harrison aluminum radiator.
The Muncie 4 speed transmission is original and works as it should.
Rear end is stock and works as it should with 355 posi.
Suspension:
Restored as stock.
The frame is in excellent condition with no pitting.
No rust anywhere.
Overall in excellent original condition as NCRS judged.
Bright work:
Restored and very presentable with correct restored grill.
Original bumpers restored and rechromed.
Glass:
Original in good overall condition with the windshield replaced with a NOS LOF (Libby Owens Ford) correct replacement from the era.
New in a box when installed.
Exhaust:
Correct side chambered exhaust replaced.
Sounds like it should.
Brakes:
Non power restored stock disc brakes all the way around with desirable updated Stainless steel cylinder sleeves.
Stock master cylinder.
Wheels/Tires:
Stock restored Kelsey Hayes steel wheels powered coated black.
Original hubcaps restored and polished and look like new.
Coker Classic gold line tires 205/75 15s.
A space saver spare is in the tub with no jack, handle or wrench.
It was judged this way and could have received higher points at the time.
Non the less the car is judged as a high point Top Flight.
Items can easily replaced.
