Vehicle Description 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 You are viewing a nice Cougar owned 28 years.
The car has been partially restored.
Major work to the restoration was finished in 96 with other areas of the car finished a bit later.
Just over 100K original miles with 4,700 miles since the majority of the work was finished.

Body/Paint:
The body was primarily rust free to begin with and was very solid.
A few small areas were repaired prior to painting original white in 2012 single stage enamel.
It was decided at the time not to install a vinyl roof.
The paint is in good overall condition.
Interior:
The headliner, front and rear seats, carpet and dash pad were replaced.
Everything else in the interior is original to the car.
Aftermarket radio/cassette with new speakers.
Running Gear:
The 302 4 bbl was rebuilt as stock as well as the C4 automatic transmission.
Runs and drives great.
The rear end is stock in good operational condition.
New radiator in 2017.
PS, PB, No other power options.
Suspension:
The suspension is stock with the front end completely rebuilt.
Bright work:
All bright work is original to the car and unrestored showing signs of ware.
Glass:
Windshield replaced, side and rear original to the car in good overall condition.
Exhaust:
Replaced when the engine was rebuilt.
Brakes:
Front power disc brake kit and drum rear.
Wheels/Tires:
Steel stock wheels with factory hubcaps.
215/70 14 radials
