Summary:
The Tire & Lube Technician is responsible for inspecting, lubricating and performing tire replacement/maintenance in a quick, yet thorough manner, and for carrying out his/her responsibilities through coordination with the Service Manager.
Organizational Relationships:
Reports directly to the Service Quick Lube Manager or Service Manager.
Interacts with General Manager, Customer Care Director, Service Director, Service Manager, Service Quick Lube Manager, customers and other Associates.

Responsibilities:
Maintain service CSI benchmarks (e.
g.
, group, district, zone, region average) within their defined timeframe (e.
g.
, 3 months, YTD, rolling 12 months), for which the dealership is held accountable.
Perform tire maintenance according to Company, OEM and tire manufacture specifications including but not limited to:
Check and adjust air pressure of tires.
Mount tires.
Repair tires.
Rotate and balance tires.
Perform wheel alignments.
Perform lube work according to Company and OEM specifications including but not limited to:
Service grease fittings, universal joints and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed air powered grease gun.
Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings and shackles.
Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
Add water to radiator and battery.
Replace oil and air filters.
Advise Service Advisors of additional work.
Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs needed.
Perform multipoint inspection.
Maintain a commitment to safety in part by use of appropriate personal protective equipment, back belt, safety glasses and safety shoes at all times.
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customer, co-workers and suppliers.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety procedures and standards.

Qualifications:
Must meet company's requirements for employment.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance.
Must have valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
Prior experience as a technician's helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership preferred.
Manual dexterity.
Good judgment.
Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsExposure to inclement weather.
Ability to operate an automobile.
Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending.
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls, or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
