Supply Technician

Major Duties:
Maintains stock at primary and secondary inventory locations for all clinical and administrative services; Interacting with clinical and administrative customers to ensure issues and needs are identified and either resolved or escalated to supervisors or Inventory Management Specialists as needed; Maintaining records on stock levels; Monitors expiration dates; Performs daily inventory of primary and secondary inventory points; Distributes items and/or deliver supplies in a timely manner; Receives and unpack supplies and material into the VA Health Care System and supported catchment area. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-4) that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of a Supply Technician GS-5. Specialized experience includes:
receiving, scanning, and storing supplies for clinical and administrative services; pulling and distributing stock materials; checking and replenishing stock inventory; maintaining records of stock levels; performing daily inventory of primary and secondary inventory points using bar coding equipment; utilizing standard stock rotation procedures and monitoring expiration dates; utilizing computerized systems to manage and track supply inventories; ensuring medical supplies delivered are in operational condition; and working knowledge of commonly used medical supply items. NOTE:
Your experience must be fully documented in your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION:
Successful completion of a four (4) year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business or technical school, junior college, college or university for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business or technical school. If you are using education to qualify, transcripts are required. OR COMBINATION OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
An equivalent combination of specialized experience and post high school education, as described above, that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of this position. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours leading to a bachelor's degree is creditable. NOTE:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
