Credit Review Analyst

Overview
The Credit Review Analyst provides analytical and direct support to Credit Examiners (CE). Assists CE in the credit analysis and evaluation process of loans in the Bank's loan portfolio.
Essential Functions:
Analyzes complex financial statements to determine borrower's financial condition and adequacy of cash flow to service debt.
Assists CE in setting up and closing out credit review projects.
Prepares work papers for individual loans to be reviewed.
Assists CE in the file review process to assess adequacy of conforming to bank policy, collateral valuation, documentation, and adherence to conditions of approval.
Analyzes personal/business cash flows, as well as reviewing Credit Authorizations.
Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.
Regular, reliable attendance is required.
Assists with other department duties and projects, as requested by Credit Review manager.
Requirements
College-level course work, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field or related, equivalent experience.
Strong accounting aptitude.
Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability.
Strong knowledge of Bank loan policies and general commercial documentation requirements.
Ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service to both internal and external clients.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, correspondence abilities, etc.
AIB course work in analyzing financial statements desired.
Demonstrates organizational and analytical skills, strategic thinking and ability to work collaboratively or independently.
Proficient PC and technical skills to navigate Bank software, including the Microsoft Office Suite of products, word processing, spreadsheets, database, desktop information management, Internet, computer assisted financial analysis, PC-based financial models, and related applications/programs.
Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative; ability to work well both independently and with others.
Mental and Physical Demands:
Requires mental abilities including capacity to evaluate, calculate and interpret information and situations simultaneously.
Ability to function efficiently and effectively under continual deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor.
High level of written and oral comprehension, articulating complex ideas clearly and communicating effectively and quickly.
Ability to independently perform credit analysis and support conclusions and recommendations.
Ability to learn new processes and ideas.
Ability to function efficiently and effectively within general office environment.
Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, electronically and in person, hearing and speaking clearly.
Ability to use personal computers effectively, reading screens and operating keyboards to enter data accurately and for extended periods of time.
Travel to various business locations, including client sites and/or other bank departments.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
