CC&B System administrator

Support Administrator is responsible for proactive and reactive troubleshooting, monitoring and maintaining Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Application Environment. The administrator performs the day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation the runtime environment. This role requires the candidate to be highly flexible in hours of work because of its customer-facing, highly available infrastructure necessity.

Under general direction, devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems.
Work with the development staff to determine project requirements for test/production environments.
Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications server activities
Keep current with emerging software enhancements, security patches and bug fixes.
Monitor application server performance and respond appropriately.
Modifies, installs, and prepares technical documentation for system software applications
Skills Required:
Familiarity with process integration of CC&B with other enterprise and operational systems such as core ERP, GIS, Work Management, etc.
Candidate must have experience of 3-5 years and have worked in at least 1-2 full life cycle implementations of CC&B with strong utilities background preferred
Experience monitoring Oracle CC&B system performance; troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
Proficient in PL/SQL Programming language
Programming experience in Java J2EE framework
Experience with Oracle CC&B patch installation processes
Experience with the Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with Oracle 10g/11g highly desired
Experience troubleshooting problems reported with the Oracle CC&B system, interfaces, extension, batch processes and other ancillary software solutions
Experience with WSDL and SOAP
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Able to work independently with very little direction, for example: research solution, open trouble ticket with vendors and follow through to a technical resolution
Strong analytical skills
BS degree in a technical field (BS-EE or BS-CS preferred)
5+ years of related job experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
