Job Description:

The Radiologic/Fluoro Technologst II is a Monday, Thursday and Friday, 9:00am-9:30pm shift, at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Summary: Performs general diagnostic radiography exams, including fluoroscopy. Responsible for obtaining the highest quality radiological exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a Radiologist and/or a licensed and certified Radiologic Technologist per established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

Assists patients as needed to obtain quality exam
o Physically maneuvers/lifts (lifting is done with assistance from other staff members) patients to a standing position to perform x-ray exams
o Physically maneuvers/lifts (lifting is done with assistance from other staff members) patients to an exam table to perform x-ray exams
Assists patients as needed to obtain quality exam
Prepares exam rooms
Maintains clean and stocked exam rooms
Assists in the appropriate transportation of patients as needed
Schedules radiologic and fluoro exams
This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.
Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed
Assists patients as needed to obtain quality exam
o Physically maneuvers/lifts (lifting is done with assistance from other staff members, not alone) patients in setting up patient for procedure involving radiographic/fluoroscopic examination.
Assists other staff in preparing room for procedure involving use of radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment
Maintains clean radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.
Assists in the appropriate transportation of patients as needed
Participates with the training of students in the educational radiologic technologist program
Performs diagnostic images
Performs portable radiographic exams to include in the morgue
This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
With the direct supervision and assistance of a licensed technologist/RT a student may:
Performs General Diagnostic Radiography exams, including Fluoroscopy
o Sets up sterile trays for fluoroscopic guided procedures
o Assists radiologist/midlevel personnel with fluoroscopic procedures
o Administers oral/rectal contrast during fluoroscopic exams
o Administers IV contrast during GU studies
Performs General Diagnostic Radiography exams, including Fluoroscopy in OR, Endoscopy, ASC, SMAU, PACU, and other appropriate areas.
o Assists physician (non-radiologist) with fluoroscopic/C-Arm procedures
Operates C-Arm in OR, Endoscopy, ASC, and Short-Stay.

Qualifications:
Education:
o High School Diploma/GED - required
o Current enrollment with good standing in an Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program - required

Experience: First year of Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program completed
o Anatomy and medical terminology preferred
o Medical office experience preferred
o Understanding of procedures to be read by radiologist preferred
Licensure: Must maintain current Washington State X-Ray Technician license
Certifications: Current CPR/BLS required
Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Workday; ISite; Qgenda; Internet/Intranet, EPIC and Medicalis. Datix and/ or Inland Imaging Incident reports.
Background Check:
o Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
o In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
Drug Test: Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test which includes Marijuana.
