JOB DESCRIPTION - REGISTERED NURSE (A)Job
Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides patient care on a supplemental basis to our client facilitiesWith the delivery of safe, quality patient care as the primary goal, the Registered Nurse exercises sound professional judgment and skills in-the performance of assigned dutiesThe Registered Nurse is expected to practice a systematic approach to patient care utilizing the nursing process; assessment of patient status and needs, planning of patient care based on needs, implementation of the plan of care and evaluation of goal achievement.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current RN license in the appropriate state/sMi nimum of one year clinical experience in chosen clinical specialtySupervisory references or at a minimum verification of previous work experience Current BLS certificationAdvanced Certifications; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC etcmaybe required based on clinical specialty.

Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse is expected to practice safe and ethical nursing care within the scope of his/her profession as defined by state Nursing Practice Act, understanding of his/her own limitations, seeking advice and assistance when necessarySpecific duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs routine nursing careProvides patient and family teachingAssists physician with patientsAccurately gives and receives report on patient statusMonitors patient per facility protocol and patient needsI dentifies and acts on change.
in patient statusI nstitutes comfort and safety measures for patientProvides age specific care to all patientsProvides patient care with a sensitivity to cultural diversity of patient populationPerforms nursing procedures in compliance with the facilities policies and proceduresConsistently practices standard precautions.
Adheres to hospital policies for handling, labeling and disposal of bio hazardous materialsAdheres to Joint Commission professional standards and incorporates the National Patient Safety Goals into current practice.
Essential Functions:
Must have working knowledge of the theory, principles, techniques and practice of professional nursingMust have current knowledge in caring for patients in different development stages throughout the life cycle possibly to include infants through geriatricsMust have a command for the English language and have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Certified Nurse Practitioner Clinical Works Communication Ethics Apply to this job.
