The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MSTo fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forwardWe partner with volunteers to accomplish our workStaff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learningThe National MS Society is seeking a high-energy, goal-driven, experienced peer-to-peer fundraiser to join our Development teamThis position drives revenue results through fundraising relationship portfolio management and Operational Plan executionAdditionally, this position will be responsible for flexible, ongoing support of the Society's Peer-to-Peer fundraising campaigns through active stewardship and engagementThis position specifically will have a blend of both Emerging Events Fundraising portfolio and Outbound Support responsibilitiesActing as an ambassador for the National MS Society, the Development Manager is always striving to engage participants and their donors with the mission by providing exceptional customer serviceStrong relationship building skills, a positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to working as a team are essential for success in this roleEs sential Functions / Responsibility and % of Time Deliver fundraising results through cultivation and engagement of assigned relationship portfolio (85%) Exercises strong customer service and coaching skills to help constituents reach fundraising goals and personal milestones Effectively communicate priorities and balance time management by working with multiple teams Execute engagement tactics to deliver increased registration and fundraising results Ensure highest level of event experience by collaborating with logistics and volunteer engagement Manage the implementation of fundraising plans ensuring adequate resources are provided to successfully accomplish goals and objectives Collaborating with Development leadership, this position executes operational plans focusing on acquisition, retention, and cultivation of fundraisers, teams, participants, organizers, sponsors, volunteers, etcManage the budget for assigned Emerging Events ensuring revenue and expenses are effectively managed and adjusted throughout the fiscal year as indicated or needed; provide progress reports and revenue/expense projections Increases participant and corporate partner engagement resulting in growth in fundraising revenueDevelop strong networks within the local community, cold call or develop and grow prospects and awareness for events Collaborating with staff team members across multiple markets and at all levels Regularly monitor the performance of fundraising portfolio to ensure timely responsiveness to new registrants, to recognize fundraising and recruitment milestones, and to maximize retention Travel as needed to Society events and meetings, including weekend and evening functionsSupport market and regional teams in outreach opportunities to increase event revenue through major campaigns, challenges, and promotionsProvide strategic recommendations on follow-up stewardship activities to local event team Maintain accurate outreach records utilizing development's standard tools and resources Assist Society event staff in the day-to-day communication efforts for recruitment, cultivation, and stewardship of event participants Provide additional support to the Society's peer-to-peer fundraising properties, including (but not limited to):
Bike MS, Walk MS, and more Support reporting on team impact metrics to improve tactics of the Outbound Support team on its methods and outputs Other duties as assigned Facilitates Volunteer Engagement for fundraising and event experience in the assigned event revenue portfolio (15%) Engage volunteers through meaningful and impactful work that is well defined and structured by employing strategies, tools and resources in their local marketIdentify, develop, and grow volunteer capacity (skills and talents) to achieve measurable and sustainable results while removing obstacles Cultivates volunteers, seeks, and provides feedback and shares opportunities for reciprocal growth and learning Collaborates with key staff to maximize engagement and results of committees to increase outreach, acquisition and awareness Encourage volunteer involvement on the part of constituents to enhance the efforts and expand their engagement with the Society Build and develop volunteer leadership committees Other duties as assigned Minimum
Experience:
BA/BS (or 5
years of related experience in lieu of a degree) 3-5 years of related experience, peer-to-peer fundraising experience preferredCollaborative approach, ability to work effectively across all levels both internally and externallyCommitment to the mission, vision, cultural values, and expectations of the National MS SocietyAbility to analyze metrics and adjust market plans based on the data and resultsAbility to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationshipsTechnical/Other:
Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteCompetency to work with multiple data systems and tools including constituent relationship management and fundraising softwareThis position will be required to drive/travel on Society businessCandidate must possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportationThe Society does run motor vehicle checks for all positions which require driving and the applicant must meet the Society guidelinesCompensation and Benefits Info:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
